Hiệp hội Dệt may Việt Nam dự báo, ba tháng cuối năm “cực kỳ khó khăn” khi mục tiêu xuất khẩu 39 tỷ USD khó hoàn thành vì thiếu lao động, chuỗi cung ứng vẫn đứt gãy.
Khác với nửa đầu năm nay tăng trưởng dương, dệt may đối mặt khó khăn từ tháng 7 khi diễn biến dịch phức tạp và giãn cách kéo dài tại các tỉnh, thành phía Nam, trong đó có TP HCM. Doanh nghiệp dệt may phải đóng cửa, ngừng sản xuất, sản xuất cầm chừng, không thực hiện được đơn hàng. Ngoài ra, nguy cơ cao nhất là khả năng đứt gãy chuỗi cung ứng do khách hàng chuyển đơn hàng đi nơi khác và thiếu hụt lao động về quê tránh dịch, không dễ quay trở lại ngay.
Vitas ước tính có khoảng 1 triệu lao động (chiếm 1/3 lao động toàn ngành) bị ảnh hưởng do nghỉ việc, nghỉ luân phiên, không lương và tạm hoãn hợp đồng lao động, giảm thu nhập.
