Sự phức tạp này không chỉ nằm ở quy mô mà còn ở tính chất đa dạng của các thiết bị và yêu cầu bảo trì. Nếu công tác bảo trì không được thực hiện một cách hiệu quả sẽ ảnh hưởng nghiêm trọng đến chất lượng đào tạo cũng như môi trường giáo dục an toàn mà nhà trường cần mang lại cho các thầy cô và học viên.
