1. Thị phần xuất khẩu dệt may Việt Nam vươn lên thứ hai thế giới

Hy vọng thực sự trở lại với ngành dệt may khi quý IV-2021, các tỉnh phía Nam dần mở cửa trở lại. Chính phủ ban hành Nghị quyết số 128/NQ-CP và các doanh nghiệp bắt đầu trở lại sản xuất. Với sự nỗ lực của các doanh nghiệp, ngành dệt may Việt Nam đã vượt qua khó khăn, duy trì đà tăng trưởng tốt trong năm 2021, với kim ngạch xuất khẩu ước đạt 39 tỷ USD, tăng 11,2% so với năm 2020 và tăng 0,3% so với năm 2019. Vượt qua Bangladesh, năm 2021, thị phần xuất khẩu dệt may của Việt Nam đã vươn lên vị trí thứ hai thế giới và được nhiều tổ chức quốc tế đánh giá ở vị trí cao nhất trong cơ hội phục hồi năm 2022.
Đóng góp quan trọng vào kết quả của ngành dệt may năm 2021 là những nỗ lực và chiến lược đúng đắn của Tập đoàn Dệt may Việt Nam (Vinatex). Năm 2021, doanh thu và thu nhập hợp nhất của tập đoàn ước đạt 16.436 tỷ đồng, bằng 110,7% cùng kỳ năm trước; lợi nhuận trước thuế hợp nhất ước đạt 1.200 tỷ đồng, bằng 202% so với cùng kỳ, đạt 170% kế hoạch. Theo ông Trương Văn Cẩm, Phó chủ tịch kiêm Tổng thư ký Hiệp hội Dệt may Việt Nam, “điều quan trọng nhất là Việt Nam có chống dịch, kiểm soát dịch thành công hay không”.
