Lao động dệt may Việt Nam ‘hưởng lợi’ từ thỏa thuận giữa Hà Lan và ILO

Dẫn lại ước tính kim ngạch xuất khẩu của ngành dệt may năm 2021 sẽ đạt 39 tỉ đô la Mỹ (tương đương năm 2019) của Hiệp hội Dệt may Việt Nam và khoảng 2,7 triệu lao động làm việc trong ngành từ báo cáo của Bộ Công thương, Tổ chức Lao động quốc tế (ILO) nhận định “dệt may là ngành then chốt, đóng góp cho sự tăng trưởng và phát triển của Việt Nam”.
Tuy vậy, khủng hoảng do dịch COVID-19 dẫn tới nhiều nhà máy đóng cửa; thu nhập và cuộc sống của nhiều công nhân bị ảnh hưởng; các mô hình sản xuất xanh hơn, sạch hơn để giảm thiểu biến đổi khí hậu được đẩy mạnh; mở rộng số hóa và tự động hóa trong sản xuất…
Do đó, ILO kỳ vọng dự án này là một bước đi quan trọng hướng tới xây dựng một ngành công nghiệp có sức chống chịu, bao trùm và bền vững hơn, đồng thời mang lại nhiều việc làm cho người lao động.
Dự án này sẽ kéo dài trong 2 năm và triển khai từ tháng 1-2022.
ILO sẽ hỗ trợ Chính phủ Việt Nam và các tổ chức đại diện người lao động ở doanh nghiệp, công nhân ngành dệt may nâng cao những kỹ năng cần có trong ngắn hạn và dài hạn. Dự án chú trọng nhóm lao động có nguy cơ mất việc do ảnh hưởng của dịch COVID-19, sự phát triển của robot thay thế con người, số hóa khâu sản xuất…
