Hiện tại, đang triển khai các thủ tục để hoàn thành việc nạo vét luồng hàng hải tại Soài Rạp và các kè luồng hàng hải kênh Hà Nam (đoạn kè đầu kênh) và kè kênh Tắt luồng hàng hải cho tàu biển trọng tải lớn vào sông Hậu cũng đã được nghiệm thu và đưa vào khai thác sử dụng.
