So với nhiều đơn vị khác từng triển khai TPM, Cơ Khí Nhựa Bình Thuận triển khai có nhiều thuận lợi hơn do đã áp dụng thành công hê thống thực hành tốt 5S và đã có ban chuyên trách 5S hoạt động hiệu quả trong suốt 1 năm vừa qua. Đây chính là giá trị cốt lõi để khi công ty triển khai TPM, các thành viên ban 5S sẽ tiếp tục tham gia vào đội ngũ TPM, đồng thời phụ trách cả 2 mục tiêu: duy trì tốt nền tảng 5S cơ sở và triển khai một số trụ cột TPM.
Trong buổi lễ khởi động chương trình, các chuyên gia tư vấn đã tiến hành khảo sát thực tế các khu vực áp dụng thí điểm TPM. Sau đó tiến hành họp cùng các nhân sự triển khai TPM của công ty, giới thiệu một số kiến thức cơ bản về TPM, các trụ cột bảo trì và đưa ra các khuyến nghị cùng các quy trình rà soát, quản lý thiết bị sẽ thực hiện trong thời gian sắp tới. Các công việc này sẽ bao gồm: thành lập ban TPM, hoàn thiện và áp dụng các biểu mẫu kiểm tra hằng ngày, biểu mẫu kiểm tra sản phẩm, biểu mẫu nhật ký vận hành, biên bản sự cố và lý lịch thiết bị.
Theo dự kiến của ban lãnh đạo công ty, chương trình TPM sẽ diễn ra trong vòng 4 tháng từ tháng 09 đến 12/2019 tại một số máy ép nhựa. Trong thời gian này, Cơ Khí Nhựa Bình Thuận triển khai 3 trụ cột chính của TPM bao gồm: Bảo trì tự quản AM, Bảo trì kế hoạch, Cải tiến trọng tâm.
