PROJECT INTRODUCTION
Supported by the SIPPO program through the International Labor Organization (ILO), in collaboration with Binh Duong Furniture Association (BIFA), Vietsoft successfully implemented Vietsoft Ecomaint (Computerized Maintenance Management System) – CMMS for Wood Furniture Industry at Lam Viet Joint Stock Company (a furniture manufacturing company).

15.01.2024 Go live (after 47 days). Then, refining processes, and reporting,
as well as internal operation rule were carried out.

PROJECT SCALE
In terms of scale, Lam Viet has 752 pieces of equipment distributed across 5 production workshops. Users joining the software are:
- Management Board and IT: 03 people
- Maintenance Department: 13 people
- Production Department: 61 people
OPERATIONAL RESULTS
The operational data from 01.03.2024 to 31.06.2024 (3 months) shows:
- Machine downtime reduced by 42.2%, totalling 1,790 hours, resulting in cost savings of 17,900 USD (Estimated cost savings based on a minimum downtime cost of 10 USD/hour).
- Total maintenance costs decreased by 20.2%, amounting to 2,883 USD.
- We would like to emphasize that the maintenance cost for breakdowns decreased by 76.7%, indicating minor and non-serious breakdowns during April to June.
- Total savings over the 3-month period amount to 20,783 USD, equivalent to annual savings of 83,132 USD. The payback period for the initial investment is 3 months.
- Most importantly, the software has established a stable and sustainable production operation platform.
