Ông Vũ Đức Giang, Chủ tịch Hiệp hội Dệt may Việt Nam nhấn mạnh, để phát triển bền vững, các doanh nghiệp Việt Nam phải xây dựng tầm nhìn mới, phải có khát vọng khẳng định vị thế của mình.

Ngày 17/12, đã diễn ra hội thảo chuyên đề “Phát triển bền vững ngành dệt may Việt Nam trong bối cảnh dịch COVID-19” doHiệp hội Dệt may Việt Nam (VITAS) tổ chức dưới 2 hình thức trực tuyến và trực tiếp tại Hà Nội, Đà Nẵng và Tp. Hồ Chí Minh. Sự kiện có sự tham gia hơn 350 đại biểu là hội viên chính thức của VITAS, các tổ chức quốc tế.
Phát biểu khai mạc ông Vũ Đức Giang, Chủ tịch VITAS nhấn mạnh, để phát triển bền vững, các doanh nghiệp Việt Nam phải xây dựng tầm nhìn mới, phải có khát vọng khẳng định vị thế của mình. Ngành dệt may Việt Nam không cạnh tranh lao động giá rẻ mà cạnh tranh về chất lượng, công nghệ, năng suất, thời gian giao hàng, minh bạch, tiết giảm tối đa năng lượng, tài nguyên, môi trường. Cùng đó, đầu tư công nghệ hiện đại, đáp ứng chuẩn mực quốc tế về lao động và môi trường theo tư vấn của các tổ chức đánh giá toàn cầu.
Dưới góc độ nhà nghiên cứu, TS. Đỗ Quỳnh Chi – Giám đốc Trung tâm Nghiên cứu quan hệ lao động (ERC) cho rằng, các doanh nghiệp phải nâng cao giá trị sản xuất thì mới có được nguồn lực đầu tư cho thực hành tiêu chuẩn về lao động và môi trường. Cùng đó, xây dựng được quan hệ trực tiếp, lâu dài với các nhãn hàng để chủ động thương lượng về chia sẻ khó khăn trong tình hình dịch bệnh.
Kết quả khảo sát gần đây của ERC cho thấy, nếu doanh nghiệp chỉ làm gia công, lợi nhuận thấp, thường xuyên bị ép giá thì không có được nguồn lực đầu tư cho phát triển bền vững, thậm chí bị loại khỏi chuỗi cung ứng.

Ông Trần Như Tùng, Phó Tổng giám đốc Công ty Dệt Thành Công, Trưởng ban Phát triển bền vững VITAS cho rằng, trước mắt, việc đầu tư thực hành các tiêu chuẩn phát triển bền vững có thể gây khó khăn cho doanh nghiệp. Nhưng, về lâu dài uy tín, thương hiệu của doanh nghiệp sẽ ngày càng tốt hơn, có thể nhận được sự hỗ trợ từ các nhà đầu tư mới. Chẳng hạn mới đây, một cổ đông trong nước đã mua một lượng lớn cổ phiếu sau khi nhận thấy giá trị, uy tín cao của Thành Công về môi trường và lao động.

Để làm được những điều trên, ông Vũ Đức Giang bày tỏ, các doanh nghiệp cần phải có nguồn lực, con người; phải coi lực lượng lao động có tay nghề là tài sản lớn nhất của doanh nghiệp. Doanh nghiệp cần xây dựng nguồn lực quản trị và nguồn lực sản xuất có khả năng cạnh tranh với dòng sản phẩm tương tự của các nước trong khu vực. Đồng thời, tận dụng hiệu quả những lợi ích mà các hiệp định thương mại tự do mang lại bằng cách ưu tiên tìm kiếm, đầu tư và sử dụng nguồn nguyên liệu trong nước.
Cũng theo ông Vũ Đức Giang, trong bối cảnh hội nhập toàn cầu, liên kết chuỗi giúp các doanh nghiệp phát huy được thế mạnh riêng của mình và tận dụng được thế mạnh của tập thể. Trong thời điểm đại dịch COVID-19 bùng phát năm 2020, nếu không có sự liên kết chuỗi của VITAS, các doanh nghiệp dệt may Việt Nam không thể thực hiện được đơn hàng lên đến hàng tỷ khẩu trang giao cho Pháp và Mỹ chỉ trong một tháng.
Các tổ chức quốc tế muốn giúp doanh nghiệp Việt Nam phát triển bền vững cũng hiểu rằng, lý do các doanh nghiệp Việt Nam tìm đến nguồn vốn vay hỗ trợ phát triển bền vững là lãi suất và lãi suất đó phải thấp hơn lãi suất ngân hàng thương mại.
