Hàng năm, nhà máy sản xuất và đóng góp cho lưới điện quốc gia khoảng 7,2 tỷ kWh điện. Do ảnh hưởng của đại dịch Covid-19 nên công tác đại tu Tổ máy số 2 NMNĐ Vũng Áng 1 gặp không ít khó khăn.
