Ngày 28/12, tại Hà Nội, Viện Công nhân và Công đoàn thuộc Tổng Liên đoàn Lao động Việt Nam với sự hỗ trợ của Công đoàn Hà Lan (CNV) đã tổ chức cuộc tọa đàm trực tuyến “Tác động của COVID-19 tới lao động ngành dệt may, da giày và hoạt động của tổ chức Công đoàn”.
Phát biểu tại tọa đàm, Phó Viện trưởng Viện Công nhân và Công đoàn Nhạc Phan Linh cho biết, dưới tác động của dịch COVID-19, những khó khăn, vướng mắc và thiệt hại đối với các doanh nghiệp trong hai ngành dệt may và da giày Việt Nam trong suốt 2 năm qua là rất lớn. Theo đó, ngay cả trong quá trình chuẩn bị cho giai đoạn hậu COVID-19, tình hình đơn hàng không thiếu khi việc các doanh nghiệp trở lại hoạt động, kết hợp với một số thị trường lớn như Mỹ, EU, Nhật… mở cửa đã giúp cho ngành tăng trưởng trở lại, song nhiều doanh nghiệp dệt may (nhất là khu vực phía Nam) vẫn phải từ chối do thiếu lao động, chi phí tăng cao, cộng với các biện pháp phòng, chống dịch khiến các doanh nghiệp cũng phải đầu tư nhiều hơn.
“Tọa đàm là cơ hội để các đại biểu thảo luận, đánh giá những tác động của COVID-19 đến các khía cạnh làm việc cũng như đời sống của những lao động ngành dệt may, da giày Việt Nam. Bên cạnh đó, Tọa đàm cũng tập trung làm rõ sự tham gia và vai trò của tổ chức Công đoàn Việt Nam trong việc đại diện, chăm lo và bảo vệ người lao động trước ảnh hưởng của đại dịch COVID-19 cũng như vai trò của tổ chức công đoàn trong việc đồng hành cùng chính phủ, cùng doanh nghiệp từng bước vượt qua khó khăn để chuyển sang trạng thái thích ứng an toàn, linh hoạt, kiểm soát hiệu quả dịch COVID-19”, ông Nhạc Phan Linh nhấn mạnh.
Tại Tọa đàm, các đại biểu từ các đầu cầu Thành phố Hồ Chí Minh, Bắc Giang… đã trình bày nhiều tham luận về tác động của dịch COVID-19 đối với người lao động và đề xuất những biện pháp nhằm giúp doanh nghiệp và người lao động ngành dệt may, da giày sống chung với đại dịch cũng như để chuỗi hàng dệt may, da giày không bị đứt gãy chuỗi nhân lực.
Chia sẻ tại buổi Tọa đàm, Phó Trưởng ban Quan hệ Lao động Tổng Liên đoàn Lao động Việt Nam Hồ Thị Kim Ngân cho biết, dịch COVID-19 đã khiến cho gần 3 triệu người lao động đã phải ngừng việc, nghỉ việc, mất việc hoặc tạm hoãn hợp đồng lao động, nghỉ việc không lương. Trước tình hình đó, tổ chức công đoàn đã có nhiều chính sách nhằm hỗ trợ đoàn viên, người lao động như cung cấp nhu yếu phẩm, vận động chủ các nhà trọ giảm tiền phòng cho công nhân lao động, dựng các trạm “Nghĩa tình Công đoàn” tại các khu công nghiệp, khu lưu trú công nhân, trao các phần quà góp phần giúp đỡ đời sống người lao động khắc phục những tác động của dịch bệnh…
“Về lâu dài, vai trò của công đoàn trong công tác đối thoại, thương lượng sẽ là một trong những chủ đề cần triển khai, thúc đẩy mạnh mẽ trong năm 2022 để có thể giúp người lao động ứng phó với dịch bệnh.
